Paghiliusa is a term that means unity.This is
the entry name of the dance group for the Tribal
Dance Competition in celebration of the Mudpack
Festival held in Mambucal Resort, Murcia, Negros
Occidental last 2004.

Paghiliusa is ironically composed of former rival
dance groups--Delta Heatwaves Dance Group and
Extreme Dancers.Extreme Dancers was a former
junior members of Delta Heatwaves, they became a
faction group later on.During this Competition,
John Becaro decided to cut off the heat between
the two rival dance groups by promoting a
reconciliation and unity by merging them into a
one group for the said contest to represent Cadiz City.
John also choreographed the dance entry.

Unfortunately, Paghiliusa failed to win but the
spirit of unity and reconcialiation between the two groups
was once again established.Paghiliusa was been criticize
due to the the fact that it deviates the technical aspect
of the dance.John never expect that the dance entry
were categorized under "Tribal Jazz Dance" and it is strictly
not considered by the panels.John only got two weeks to
choreographed the entry and failed to refine the "Jazz Beat"
on the hands and levels of the dancers.

Paghiliusa will be used everytime the Delta Heatwaves
combines with other Dance Groups.This is to show everybody that
even Delta Heatwaves is a very competent group yet it has a strong
values Friendship, Fellowship, Sportsmanship and Unity.

DELTA HEATWAVES DID IT AGAIN!
For Almost 3-4 years, Delta Heatwaves Dance Troupe
has finally regained its name and glory at their own
territory or locality. Just this evening of July 3,
they finally garnered again the CHAMPION(First Place)
on the prestigious annual Pop Dance Competition held
at Cadiz City, Neg. occ.- their very own hometown.
They manage to beat the Other 7 dance group competitors.And They also got the only two minor awards given on thesaid contest , which is the Best In Production Number and Best in Discipline.They have finally taken their sweet revenge against the fierce rival dance troupe: The VictoriahanonDancers who got the Second Place and the Kadalag- an Dancerswho got the Third Place.Kadalag -an Dancers was the First Place
and Victoriahanon Dancers was the 2nd Place during the Last Dance Battle last 2004 at the same place and Extreme Dancers got the Third Place.Delta Heatwaves only got the Best in Costume award during that time and was embattled because they already loss their title on their own hometown.The said Dance Battle on the said placewas not followed until the July 3, 2006 event has happened.Once Again,Delta Heatwaves has proved their strenght, endurance, passion, determination,perseverance and excellence even without of their founder and leader-John Becaro who are now currently based in Pasig, Metro Manila.Gerold Flores
has proven that they will make their best even they know that are in great disadvantage due to the loss of some present members who also left the group tolook for more greener pasteur.They proved that the group was still strong, intactand competitive.Gerold and the Group also reiterated that even John Becaro was in
Manila, his presence will always remain in their heart and this is the reason of their present eagerness to win.They have planned and practiced earlier because they knowthat their opponents are not just simply competitors but their long time rival dancegroups.The strong brotherhood, relationship and the values of the group also contributes a lot on their present victory.

"Bring on the Gin.I am already drunk! This is in celebration for our victory!", a text
message relayed to them by Joemon Roquinasa, an alumni Delta Heatwaves who was also a pioneer
member and one of the Best Dancer Achiever.He is Now based in Capiz, Panay.

"I am almost farting due to the joy you have given to me.For almost years of struggle, we finally
gained back our honor in our very own teritory.This was our deepest aim during the time I was with
you and now you achieved it even with out me!I am now more inspired to support you more.Congratulations!",This was a text message relayed to them by John Becaro, their founder and lead choreographer who are now based in Manila.

DElta Heatwaves Dance Troupe was been founded last November 10, 1997 by John Becaro, Gerold Flores, Cresencio Santillanand Al Ducay. TRIBU CERVALES
Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, Philippines.
Every Year, The City Celebrates its Annual Dinagsa Atiatihan Festival.Tribu Cervales is the Official entry of Barangay Tiglawigan and Barangay Banquerohan last Dinagsa Festival 2005. Its official Choreographer is John Becaro who went home from Manila to Cadiz City- his home town just to choreogtraphed the said entry. Most of the Lead dancers are composed by the Delta Heatwaves Dance Troupe.The Lowest Below photo are the Dance Warriors mostly selected from different areas on the City and Tiglawigan National Highschool. The 2nd to the lowest below photo are mostly lady students from Tiglawigan National High school.The 2nd Photo to the upper part is their Entry in Kabankalan City's Sinulog Festival two weeks before they finally participated in Cadiz City' s Dinagsa Festival.Their Tribe name in Kabankalan City is
Tribu Kasag. This photo is actually taken from the Official website of Kabankalan City.The upper photo are mostly composed of the Delta Hetawaves Dance Troupe which are the frontline dancers of the entry.

The Concept of the Entry:
This is a dance who features a tribe who has a great curiosity on crabs and later on became an essential part oftheir culture.They highly valued crabs . But in the flow of the story their tribe was been attacked by strange visitors but because of their faith on Sto. Niño. their village was saved.

Comments on Dinagsa 2005
"We wish to suggest that the next time they organize such compettition, they should invite "Judges
who specializes on this field and not just merely famous people, politicians or government officials".
They should invite experts. Take for example those people who has a great profile on this kind of genre
and is outside the vicinity of Negros Island." This is a crucial competition and it needs proper judging."
It is very frustrating that we see some of the judges do not even know how to dance or simply appreciate dance and unethical to see judges who are just within the vicinity of the locality.Thus people who has a deeper understabg ob performing arts are what we are reffering it.If this could happen all the time they organized this, they will always end up to more criticisms from the participants and will probably cause
disunity among the participats.Let us learn from the past compettitions and make a move to correct our past mistakes on organizing.

DELTA HEATWAVES DANCE GROUP

A Dance Group Founded last November 10, 1997 by JOHNBECARO, GEROLD FLORES, AL DUCAY AND CRESENCIO SANTILLAN in Cadiz City Negros Occidental, Philippines.Originally started as "Heatwaves" and 1 year after became, "Delta Heatwaves"..The group primarily started as a modern Hiphop dancers but later on became more versatile and garnered several other Dances such as Jazz, Modern Jazz,Funky Jazz, StreetDance, Tribal Dance, Creative Dance, Ballroom Dance (Latin and Standard),
Interpretative, Folk Dance,and Danceplays(combination of stageplay and dancing...
It has undergone several numbers of members, started by 8 members, and later on 22 active members and 30+ inactive members.The Group has recieved numerous awards from different Dance competitions such as Best in Choreography, Best in Production Number, Best in Costumes, Dancers of the Year Awards, third places, 2nd Places and Champions...The group has performed in different places...

JOHNBECARO, The Founder and The standard bearer of the group has temporarily left the group and turned over the group to the Co- Founder and the Assistand Leader Gerold Flores last June 2005...John went to Manila to postrough his career as a visual Artist...

Currently the group was still intact and active...
